Welcome to Curiosity Spot
I'm Louise (she/her), a queer, neurodivergent counsellor and supervisor working online in the UK. I am interested in working with themes of identity, change, otherness and creativity. I specialise in working with clients who are neurodivergent and/or LGBTQIA+
Curiosity Spot was imagined following a conference I attended on compassionate approaches to mental health. When I returned, I decided that I wanted to create a safe space for people to explore their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgement. A place that acknowledged the messiness of human identity, where all parts of a person were welcome.
I offer supervision for counsellors and mental health professionals. This includes supporting neurodivergent professionals who wish to explore how their own identity intersects with their client work.
As well as regular, ongoing supervision I also off ad hoc or one off consultations for those people who require additional supervision around my areas of interest.
I run training on Working with Neurodivergent Clients and Inclusive Practice. Details of upcoming training here.
I have presented workshops at conferences run by BACP, UMHAN and Onlinevents.
Please have a look around the site for more information on me and how I work. If you think I might be able to support you then please get in touch by email or phone with any questions. I offer a free initial telephone consultation for potential clients and supervisees to give you the chance to make sure I am the right counsellor or supervisor for you before you book an appointment.
If you are interested in bespoke training or CPD then please do get in touch to discuss your needs.
